The mill as it once was
Since the time of the Carthusians, a mill has been located at the foot of a hillside next to the waterfall. According to oral tradition, mill stones were driven by various wooden millwheels for centuries, but in the early 20th century they were replaced by a water turbine manufactured at the Štore Ironworks.
Throughout centuries, the stream powered the millwheel and the saw in the old mill. The old mill was later replaced by a newer mill, and the bed of the stream also slightly changed. In the bottom part of the building, three renovated millstones now turn, and the residential part was renovated in a modern, yet still very local style that harks back to the golden age of the mill.
